About the Item
Vintage Bauhaus wardrobe produced by Hynek Gottwald for Kovona in Czechoslovakia during the 1940s.
This striking piece of furniture exemplifies functionalist design, finished in walnut veneer with beech veneer lining the interior.
The structure is crafted from a combination of solid wood, blockboard, and plywood, and stands on chrome tubular feet in very good original condition. Recently cleaned, repolished, and oiled, it boasts minor signs of use while remaining sturdy and stable.
