About the Item

1950’s Large Clean Contemporary Sapele Wardrobe – Up Zavody. Superb practical piece of mid century storage by the Czech maker Up Zavody and designed by Frantisek Mezulanik. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. The main cabinet is made from well figured Sapele with a contrasting Birch interior. The whole cabinet is beautifully made and once opened reveals a single clothing rail across the top. Our workshop has gently restored the cabinet so the doors run smoothly. This product is located in our EU warehouse and will be delivered on a slightly longer lead time of 2-4 weeks. Workshop Report: Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
