About the Item

19th century Dutch hand carved Renaissance raised cabinet was rendered from dense, old-growth quarter sawn oak, examples of which are on display in museums across Belgium and Holland that are over 1,000 years old! This stunning example features hand-carved lions and gryffins with elaborately detailed molding and foliate shell motifs enhancing the facade. Exquisite hardware with brass hinges and drawer pulls complete the amazing look! The raised design makes it a great choice as a flat panel TV cabinet, putting the view screen just high enough for all in the room to see. Note the amazingly detailed strap hinges and drawer pulls, hand-forged from solid steel. Circa 1840s Measures 72 H x 69.5 W x 29 D.
