About the Item

We present this spectacular pair of antique wardrobes in solid poplar and fir, made in the Late 19th century in Italy. This pair of wardrobes is extremely rare due to their large, tall dimensions. Let's explore with you all the outstanding features of these two wardrobes, which express the excellence of Italian cabinetmaking. They are devoid of excessive ornamentation, very simple and linear, but the doors feature distinctive panels with rectangular frames that create a very geometric and distinctive visual accent. The sides feature the same decoration as the doors. This linearity makes them easily combinable with both classic antique interiors and modern interiors seeking a distinctive element. Crafted from solid poplar and fir, these wardrobes were originally designed to be decorated with a colored lacquer; currently, they are available in a splendid light blue color with white frame edges that accentuate the geometric essence of the line. Please note that the current color was likely created in the 20th century when the previous owners decided to customize them according to their taste and color scheme. Please note that the current blue and white color is missing on three sides because these sides were not visible in their previous location in the home. Special consideration should be given to their impressive storage capacity! Please carefully examine all the images, as you will have many shelves, an internal drawer, and an additional external drawer. The interior can be modified to suit your needs. We can make this modification for you, but please let us know before ordering. The wood and structure are in excellent condition, but the lacquer shows signs of wear consistent with age (see all images). We can customize the lacquer to your taste, but the price for this service is not included and must be agreed upon before purchase. Please note: The cabinets will be shipped disassembled. Assembly is not included. We can provide a video showing the assembly steps. Please also note that this is a very bulky shipment; please request a shipping quote before ordering. We can ship very large packages worldwide. Provide us with your zip code and destination city and we'll find the best shipping price for you. For further information, please contact us before purchasing.

18th Century Italian Louis XV Solid Walnut Pair of Antique Corner Cupboards
Located in Casale Monferrato, IT
These exquisite Italian corner cabinets from the Louis XV period, dating back to the mid-18th century, bring a unique historical charm to your living space. Crafted from solid walnut, these corner cabinets are designed to enhance the aesthetics of any space while offering functionality. Each sideboard is constructed from two detachable sections: a base with elegantly slender, curved legs, and an upper section with a door. This modular design makes them easy to move and adapt to different environments. Distinctive features such as the elegant curved legs are typical of the Louis XV period. Adding to their appeal, the upper section boasts a rounded shape. Despite their small size, each corner cabinet efficiently integrates storage solutions: the upper compartment includes two shelves, while the lower section offers a small drawer. Finding a pair of corner cabinets from this era in such commendable condition is exceptionally rare. Although slight signs of wear attest to their rich history, they remain in good general condition and have been restored with a conservative approach. It is essential to measure the corner spaces based on the dimensions of the sideboards: each corner side measures 40 cm (approximately 15.748 inches). Ideal for a country home, these corner sideboards...
