We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning, very large original 1800 Antique German Marriage wardrobe / housekeepers folded linen cupboard with super are original Tree of Life paintings and baroque stars I have recently purchased a very large collection of these original, antique painted wardrobes and trunks, I have around 15 wardrobes and 20 trunks in total, each one totally different, this sale is for the piece listed above with all others being listed under my other items This one is an exceptionally good looking well made and collectable piece, the hand painted detailing is exquisite throughout, the piece comes complete with the original lock and key which are fully functional. This one has as mentioned the Tree of Life painted all over it sitting under stars, this is one of the largest you will ever see and specifically designed for folded linens or to be used as a pot cupboard Inside you have lots of large shelves with hanging hooks at the back. The wardrobe dismantles into four pieces, you have a base plinth, the main body splits down the middle in two, you then have the top cornice Condition wise this wardrobe has all the original paint and finish, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect, all of which add to the honesty, charm and charisma of the wardrobe Dimensions Height:- 194.5cm Width:- 192cm Depth:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
