About the Item
This exquisite antique Art Deco wooden wardrobe armoire cabinet was made in France circa 1940. This tall cabinet is impeccably handcrafted from solid wood and Macassar Ebony veneer with stunning black and rich dark brown grain patterning. The cabinet features a tall center beveled mirrored door opening on spacious storage with one top shelf and one bottom drawer. The two side doors open on side compartments each with one top shelf. The side doors feature incredible original ornate brass and steel handle pulls. Original working brass key locks all three doors. The entire cabinet was designed and built to disassemble and break down into sections and has all the original steel assembly hardware. This versatile cabinet and showpiece is both functional and beautiful and can be used as a clothing armoire or adapted for other uses including a storage cabinet, bar cabinet, china cabinet, etc.
CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use and an antique appearance. Wood veneer has general mild buckling and lifting throughout, but not loose and in-line with overall antique appearance. Scattered scuffs and scratches, small veneer loss and minor repairs to wood expected with age. Original working key included.
