About the Item
The Blurred Lines Armoire is a contemporary, art-driven cabinet designed and hand-finished in our Toronto studio by Morgan Clayhall. The doors feature original artwork by Murray Duncan, from Murray Duncan Studio, created through a layered process of sweeping graphite lines, tonal shading, and softly textured brushwork. The fluid marks loop, intersect, and dissolve across the surface, creating a sense of suspended motion and atmospheric depth. The composition balances expressive spontaneity with quiet refinement, giving the piece a sculptural, architectural presence.
Framed in a clean matte-black structure, the artwork reads as a unified, large-scale statement on the façade of the armoire. Inside, the cabinet offers practical storage while the exterior stands as a contemporary art object within the room.
