Modern to Art Deco Revival Entertainment Arbus Armoire 6000 Series by Henredon
By Henredon
Located in Topeka, KS
Marvelous Late 20th Century Modern to Art Deco Revival Entertainment Arbus Armoire 6000 Series by Henredon composed of 2 piece top
lower sections with book matched burl wood frames, cast bronze pulls, 2 removeable
adjustable wood shelves, and 4 drawers. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, Top removable shelf has some flaws from use so its top was sanded and painted black, but it is above eye level so will never be seen. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century.
NOTE: If you love this Henredon Arbus 6000 Series Entertainment Armoire Cabinet we have other matching pieces listed for sale separately here if they are still available.
Hello there!!! My, what a HANDSOME HENREDON cabinet!!! Folks, there are plenty of cabinets in this world BUT every now and then (And NOT very often!) you come across an EXTRORDINARY vintage Henredon piece like this and it simply takes your breath away!!!! WOW!!! This is a STUNNING Entertainment Arbus Armoire 6000 Series by Henredon Furniture composed of two pieces, an upper and lower section with each of these sections comprised of beautiful book matched burl wood frames bearing a SPECTACULAR starburst pattern illuminating from behind the lovely cast bronze handles that meet in the upper
lower corners of each of the four doors. The doors open to reveal an inside storage space with two removeable
adjustable wood shelves in the center of each section and two fixed wood shelves, one created by the cabinet connection and the other in the lower section above four drawers with carved handle pulls. So, technically you have four shelves to use for storage!! The cabinet features upper and lower audio/video ventilated knockouts (that have never been knocked out,) and has two small circular convenient cord cut outs on the lower left corner of each section AND it comes with electrical supply cords. If you use it as an entertainment center or cabinet simply take out the removeable shelves and you have the perfect place for a large television, computer or monitor, gaming components,
other electronic supplies. Or use it with one or both wood shelves and create plenty of organized storage space for games, movies, books, or even a turntable and some records
vinyl!! Maybe you choose to place it in your bedroom or dressing area utilized as an armoire or wardrobe and fill it with clothing, shoes, and accessories. This cabinet is SUPER versatile!!! It stands BOLD
BEAUTIFULLY upon a slightly recessed base and exudes an incredible Modern to Art Deco Revival presence sure to make a transformative statement in whatever room it occupies!!!! And just a reminder to look at the measurements because this piece is monumental in both style and size!!!
Henredon Furniture Company was founded in 1945 in Morganton, North Carolina by four Drexel Heritage executives; T. Henry Wilson, Ralph Edwards, Donnell VanOppen, and Sterling Collet. The name Henredon is a combination of their names. These four men were determined to build furniture of custom exceptional quality, and their original offering was only three chests. Through the years they engaged with well-known designers to create their unique and fine furniture with iconic names such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Ralph Lauren, Dorothy Draper, and Laura Ashley. The company changed ownership several times throughout the years, eventually becoming Heritage Home Group (HHG) in 1986. Then, the original manufacturing operations in North Carolina effectively ceased the brand name around 2013. Following that, HHG, the last parent company under the original model filed bankruptcy in 2018 and the brand name was purchased by Authentic Brands Group (ABG.) While no longer in production, Henredon furnishings are highly sought after superior vintage...

Rare Original French Normandy Chipped Milk-Paint Wedding Marriage Armoire 1800s
Located in Swedesboro, NJ
This rare original French Normandy wedding or marriage armoire from the early 1800s is a magnificent example of provincial craftsmanship and enduring romance. Hand-carved with extraordinary detail, the armoire features elaborate floral and ribbon motifs, scalloped edges, and paneled double doors, all crowned with a crest that symbolizes unity and prosperity. Its original chipped milk-paint finish, beautifully aged over centuries, reveals an authentic patina that collectors and decorators prize for its timeworn charm and historical integrity.
Historically, marriage armoires were gifted to newlyweds as a treasured heirloom, designed to hold fine linens and clothing for generations. This particular piece exudes that tradition, making it not only a functional storage cabinet but also a piece of French cultural heritage. With its rustic yet elegant presence, the armoire integrates seamlessly into a variety of design schemes. It is an outstanding choice for antique-inspired interiors, while its textured surface and bold silhouette allow it to complement Hollywood Regency glamour or even contrast beautifully with sleek mid-century modern décor.
A true statement piece, this Normandy wedding armoire...
