About the Item

Wardrobe in the bedroom of the main suite of the Giulio Cesare ocean liner launched in 1920 in Palermo with the first voyage from Genoa in 1922. Completely set up by the Ducrot company in Palermo. The wardrobe consists of 2 curved doors resembling a ship's keel, a central door with a vertical allegory of finely carved and lacquered cherubs. Packaging with bubble wrap and cardboard boxes is included. If the wooden packaging is needed (fumigated crates or boxes) for US and International Shipping, it's required a separate cost (will be quoted separately). Piece attributed to the above designer/maker. It has no hallmark or proof of authenticity, but is documented in design history.
