This French armoire is part of the Mélanie collection, a modern interpretation of the French Directoire style of the late 18th century. The Directoire style is famous for its straight, classic and timeless lines embellished with diamonds, grooves or cartouches on the front.
With the MELANIE collection all furnitures' dimensions and designs of the facades have been adapted to our current interiors.
This Armoirette (small Wardrobe in French) is remarkable with its single sliding and folding door, that helps you spare useful space in the room.
3 wooden shelves are available.
The handles are made of brass.
This cabinet is made of solid French cherry wood. The sourcing of the solid wood comes from sustainably managed and PEFC certified French forests.
Who is GONTIER ?
GONTIER is a French furniture brand founded in 1920 in the western region of France and now belongs to the company MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS.
It provides you exclusively with 100% made in France furniture and a 5 year warranty.
The manufacture of each furniture is made accordingly to traditional French techniques of woodworking by small craft workshops in the western countryside of France ( Loire Vallée and Bretagne) and of very high-end quality.
As a proof of their authenticity and uniqueness, each of our furniture is burnt with a "G" hallmark.

MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS is a new brand launched in September 2018 by Eric Weiler (founder) and Eric Gizard (designer). We deliver 100% made in France high-end and top quality furniture pieces. Main material is wood, mainly ash, oak and cherry. Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed French forests. The craft-handed manufacture in the Loire Countryside and Bretagne ensures robustness and a very long life cycle for each piece. All our models are already fully assembled in our workshops. Eric Gizard is a famous French Designer in Paris and works several Fashion and Luxury Brands. He sublimates with his very fluid and elegant design each piece of our collections EGEE and KUBE. More over and previous to the launch of MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS, in 2010, Eric Weiler took over an old cabinet-maker named GONTIER established in France since 1920. French Traditional pieces and new designed models from GONTIER are also proposed on 1st Dibs.
