MELANIE Collection
This armoire is part of the Mélanie collection, a modern interpretation of the French Directoire style of the late 18th century. We find the straight, classic and timeless lines embellished with diamonds, grooves or cartouches on the front. The dimensions and designs of the facades have been adapted to our current interiors.
This armoire is a handmade and modernized interpretation of the French Directoire style at the end of the 18th century.
This period is remarkable with its straight, classical and timeless lines.
This classical armoire or wardrobe is available with 3 different inner layouts:
- 4 large shelves on wooden racks
- 1 hanging bar
- half shelves / half hanging bat
There are no keys on the 2 sliding doors.
The proposed finish is a classical chery stain with a red diamond ont the upper front and red grooves on the lower front.
The Mélanie wardrobe is made with the best parts of the high-valued French cherry wood.
GONTIER
is a cabinetmaker's furniture brand established since 1920 in Mayenne, France and now belongs to the company MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANÇAIS.
The manufacture of each piece remains artisanal, 100% French and of very high-end quality. The handcrafted production for each piece is unique and made accordingly to traditional French techniques of woodworking by small craft workshops in the western countryside of France (Loire Valley and Bretagne).
As proof of their authenticity and uniqueness, our furniture is burnt with a "G" hallmark. We offer a 5 year warranty on each piece.
The solid wood comes from sustainably managed and PEFC certified French forests.
Each piece if fully mounted in our workshop, no home-assembly is required.

MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS is a new brand launched in September 2018 by Eric Weiler (founder) and Eric Gizard (designer). We deliver 100% made in France high-end and top quality furniture pieces. Main material is wood, mainly ash, oak and cherry. Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed French forests. The craft-handed manufacture in the Loire Countryside and Bretagne ensures robustness and a very long life cycle for each piece. All our models are already fully assembled in our workshops. Eric Gizard is a famous French Designer in Paris and works several Fashion and Luxury Brands. He sublimates with his very fluid and elegant design each piece of our collections EGEE and KUBE. More over and previous to the launch of MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS, in 2010, Eric Weiler took over an old cabinet-maker named GONTIER established in France since 1920. French Traditional pieces and new designed models from GONTIER are also proposed on 1st Dibs.
