About the Item

Lovely original hand-painted armoire from the Swedish countryside. The date of 1834 indicate this was likely a wedding present. The delicate blue flowers and garland are surrounded by a traditional folk art background in a reddish brown tone of faux wood. Left door is secured closed with interior hook, key and lock function for the right door. Lower two drawers are accessed when upper doors are open. Restored, strong and stable, this armoire is ready to be placed and enjoyed. Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely cabinet. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
