About the Item

What a delightful little wardrobe! It takes the form of a fall-front secretaire but the three Dutch paneled drawer fronts and the central door panel together make the single door and only the bottom drawer is real. The bonnet-top crown molding joins the corner-mounted finials and corbels. The chamfered front corners bear a long bead with the decorative legs mounted beneath. The round patch in the top door panel replaces a zinc or brass ventilation plate. There is also a nicely-executed patch on the left hand side of the door. The interior has three original shelves, fully adjustable on wooden sawtooth track.
