About the Item
Antique two-door solid walnut wardrobe with curved panel. It features a highly elaborately shaped and curved upper frame.
The "gendarme's hat" profile (concave and convex) is typical of 18th-century wardrobes. It is characterized by a slender and shallow structure, ideal for small spaces and hallways.
It is enriched with carved paneling on the two doors, with curved lines and moldings, which reinforce the impression of a Baroque or Louis XV style. Inside, there are numerous shelves, making it perfect as a cabinet or bookcase. The hinges are external, typical of antique furniture. The feet are rather low and simple, consistent with a rustic yet elegant piece.
The piece appears to be in good structural condition, although it shows signs of wear, which are typical and, indeed, enhance its authenticity.
