Antique English Geo. III Inlaid Figured Mahogany Chippendale Chest on Chest
Located in CHARLESTON, SC
One of the finest quality Antique English Geo. III period inlaid figured mahogany Chippendale style Chests on Chests or Tallboys we have had in years. With superlative marquetry inlays of satinwood quarter fans on the perimeter of each drawer as well as "Adam" style satinwood and ebony fan escutcheons, to the delicate checkered inlay on the cornice frieze, this Chest on Chest has it all. Please note that this is a superior made Chest on Chest having elm drawer linings versus the traditional oak or deal (pine) all standing upon handsome ogee feet. Please note the substantial number of images showing the great condition of this piece and the hand dovetailed top signifying the early Georgian date when this was done. Of great proportion and wonderful color, retaining what appears to be possibly its original "French Chippendale...

English Pearlware Coffee Pot, Blue Transferware, Fallow Deer in Snow, 1800-1820
Located in London, GB
This is a superb coffee pot made in England between 1800 and 1825. The pot is made of pearlware and has a very charming blue transfer printed pattern of fallow deer in a snowy landscape with farm buildings. This transfer print looks like an early 19thC print; as we couldn't identify the maker it was impossible to date it exactly. A charming detail is that the rim of the cover and the footrim, which are printed with a row of houses, both are printed up side down; this was probably done by children, who often did the smaller transfer prints because their little fingers could handle the thin strips of paper better than adults. The coffeepot is unmarked. There is an old shop label on the underside stating it is "English, probably Spode" - however, although this pot is certainly English, it is certainly not Spode. CONDITION REPORT The coffee pot is in good antique and usable condition without any damage to the pot or the spout; there are just some chips off the lower rim of the cover, which are not visible when in position and are inconsequential for using the pot. As is normal for antique pearlware...

Huge Antique Hand Blown Formed Thick Deep Green Wine or Spirits Bottle
Located in Hamilton, Ontario
This very large and substantial antique wine bottle's exact origins are unknown, but it is presumed to be English or possibly Dutch and dating from the early 1700's. The bottle was hand blown and formed and uses a very thick deep olive green glass. The slightly bent neck has a very thick stem and top which leads to a large bulbous or flask shaped base. The front and back sides have been slightly flattened which was likely done for packing and stability during shipping. The capacity of this bottle has not been tested, but presumed to be in the 2 Imperial gallon...

Regency Silk and Wool Picture of Mother and Her Children, after John Hoppner RA
By Sir John Hoppner
Located in Downingtown, PA
Superb large English silk and wool portrait, A Mother and Her Four Children, after John Hoppner R.A., circa 1810-20, Within gilt frame. Silk over linen fabric ground, silk floss, worsted wool yarn, Merino wool yarn and oil paint. A remarkable silk picture with painted sky background and each figure with a painted face and hands with the remaining portions of the picture finished in wool. The design comes from a mezzotint after John Hoppner made in the 1790s. John Hoppner specialized in painting mothers and children. The picture depicts a large standing female figure dressed in a white dress and wearing a turban. She stands by two classical columns with her four children in front of her. The youngest child is sitting on the ground playing with her red shoe in her hands with a tambourine by her side. Her elder sister stands behind her.
