Richard Young always enjoyed pencil and chalk drawings however he studied engineering and graduated in 1983. A self-taught professional Artist, born in Yorkshire, Richard is now based in Wokingham, the UK where he has his studio. He has exhibited all around the world and has seen a number of his paintings receive accolades and awards. Richard has created his own style and technique, tacking influence from and inspired by the realism and romanticism of his favourite post-renaissance classical Masters and their timeless, romantic masterpieces. He often creates oil paintings using only a knife, often in a limited colour palette and mixing only on the canvas.
