About the Item

England, ca. 1790. A lovely antique Sheraton style card table from the George III period. Features handmade construction with rectangular top supported by four square tapered legs terminating in spade feet. Fiddleback mahogany - along with satinwood and boxwood inlay - enhance what is already a most elegant form. Top opens to reveal older red felt surface. EPW carved maker’s mark to reverse. While an undeniably traditional piece, we were drawn to this example’s clean lines and slightly unusual notched apron / integrated leg detail. Perfect as a hall table or console to hold mail, keys, etc. Lightly refurbished and in overall excellent antique condition. Dimensions: 31” wide x 17” deep x 28.5” high (top closed).
