About the Item

A fine quality English George III period mahogany inlaid satinwood fold over top tea and games table with a replaced green gilt-tooled leather interior lining. The flip-top is supported by double action rear swing legs providing good stability when opened and in use. This elegant table has a well-figured mahogany top with satinwood banding and edges resting on square tapered boxwood line inlaid legs headed by satinwood inlaid panels. The base is elegantly decorated with 5 satinwood panels on the apron. When opened this table is of decagon (10 sided) form. This is a sophisticated and lovely piece of period English furniture. Circa 1790.
