We are proud to present an extraordinary Viennese Biedermeier table, crafted in Vienna around 1830 – a true masterpiece of refined design and exceptional craftsmanship.
Viennese Biedermeier furniture is renowned for its perfect proportions, understated sophistication, and meticulous attention to detail. For over two centuries, it has continued to inspire and influence the very essence of modern design. This elegant table is a shining example of that enduring legacy.
The pedestal is gracefully supported by three beautifully shaped legs resting on a triangular base with ebonized feet – one of the most iconic designs found in early, fine Viennese Biedermeier center tables.
The piece is exquisitely veneered in cherry wood and finished with a hand-applied French polish – the only authentic and appropriate finish for furniture of this caliber. The French polish enhances the natural beauty and depth of the cherry veneer, bringing out a warm amber tone and the soft glow of a 200-year-old patina.
The tabletop features a striking book-matched cherry veneer arranged in a star pattern, radiating refinement and harmony. The construction is remarkably solid and stable, and the table remains in very good condition for its age.
