About the Item

19th Century French Napoleon III Period Grand Oval Center Table is large enough to serve as an intimate dining table! Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth oak to literally last for centuries, it features an oval shape defined by what is today called "bullnose" edge treatment over a tailored apron with half-round trim. The support for the table top is somewhat more elaborate, with four boldly scrolled leg structures connected to a massive turned center post, augmented by four turned and carved columns that tie back to the scrolled legs, providing stability that a center column alone cannot. The scrolled ends of the main legs are also hand-carved with laurel wreath motif as an added visual touch. The perfect choice for adding timeless elegance you can enjoy for generations!
