About the Item

19th century Louis xv large carved and painted wood center or dining table, so-called "Table de Milieu" Carved and French grey painted massive wood support of curved outline standing on four cabriole legs with scroll feet holding a large and slightly curved wooden top with rounded corners. The corners of the legs with Rocaille carving underneath the table top, the center of which is decorated with an elaborate dark grey faux marbre paint. Between the four legs at the lower part of the table a strechter with an excellently carved, highly decorative large central rocaille. Excellently carved and painted Louis XV style center table or dining table which is perfect both as an eye-catcher for an entrance hall or salon, and can also be used as a dinner table.
