About the Item

An impressive Octagonal center or side table by Johnson Hadley Johnson, circa 1930s. Made from walnut with a matchbook veneered satinwood top. Drawing insipration from French and Italian Baroque styling. Features a scalloped carved and foliate swag apron over robust carved and turned legs with fluting and acanthus leaf accents over bun feet. Each leg is connected by a central stretcher with beautfully turned trophy shaped finial. Marked along the base with brass tag, #2744. Dimensions: 32.5" z 32.5" x 30.5"h
