About the Item
A handsome and unusual Parquetry table to be used as a Center or Dining Table. The banded top is in a lattice patterned parquetry with wide bands. It is removable (missing screws). Raised on a faceted dark support mounted on a carved tripod base. Each scrolled heavily carved leg with classic Georgian style decoration of textured panels with raised foliate motifs. On brass casters.
Condition: Restoration recommended. Please see detail photos. As mentioned above, the table top is separate from the base and requires affixing. There are various signs of age including some stable age cracks and the top has some deeper time borne scratches which do not diminish the fine presentation.
The table measures 46” diameter by 29” high.

A very fine and complex well-crafted drop leaf table with rectangular top inlaid overall in fine scrolled marquetry details. The top panel with scrolling vines emanating from two vessels, framed by a scrolling vine wide band. Each rounded leaf with coordinating center panels and bands. The two frieze drawers with foliate scrolls framing the brass key holes (one lock is missing). Raised on a octagonal faceted baluster support ending in eight square scrolled legs with flat feet, all with coordinating foliate scrolled decoration.
