About the Item
An exceptional original antique Regency period leather top drum table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1800-1820 period.
It is of very fine quality, it is a large and impressive size. There are four drawers with original locks, they have unusual design whereby they spin outwards on a single pin, as seen in the images. The circular top has a tooled leather surface, it stands on a turned baluster base that leads to a platform base, with splayed sabre legs. The legs terminate in brass feet caps and casters, there are also fine quality gilt metal ormolu mounts on the base.
We have had this re-polished, the wood has acquired a gorgeous colour tone and patina. The condition is very good for its age, with some normal wear as expected for an item that it over 200 years old.
