About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite Victorian circa 1880 revolving flamed mahogany with hand dyed brown leather top “Rent” table This is a very fine piece of antique furniture indeed. The originals date back to the late 18th century circa 1780 and retail around the £40,000 mark, this is a mid-Victorian piece so approximately 80 years later. It is very finely made with flamed mahogany, the hand dyed brown leather top has a wonderful patination. The table rotates as mentioned and has the traditional drop box in the top for depositing “The rent” In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related marks here and there, mostly its in very fine order throughout Dimensions: Height 76cm under table height 61cm Width 96.5cm Depth 96.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
