About the Item

An impressive early 19th-century Italian Neoclassical parcel-gilt center table, distinguished by its refined craftsmanship and architectural form. The rectangular top features an elegant faux-marble painted geometric design, centered by a circular medallion motif framed within painted borders of subtle symmetry and classical restraint. The giltwood frieze is enriched with a scrolled foliate carved apron, gracefully supported by square, fluted, and tapering legs terminating in rosette blocks and stylized bun feet — hallmarks of the neoclassical aesthetic inspired by the grandeur of Greco-Roman design.
