This highly decorative centre table was made in France in the 1930s to a neo classical design.
An elegant round center table featuring a polished marble top with a rich pinkish-brown color and natural veining. The marble surface has a glossy finish that highlights the intricate texture and pattern of the stone. The apron beneath the tabletop is decorated with an ornate lattice design in ebonised wood and gold-toned accents, including small rosette details and a prominent foliate motif at intervals around the circumference - a harlequin relief frieze.
The table stands on four tapered, squared legs, finished in black with gold trim along the edges, giving it a refined and classical appearance. The combination of marble, dark wood, and gilded embellishments is typical of French, neoclassical style, evoking a sense of luxury and craftsmanship.
