About the Item

A most elegant and unique Italian 18th century Louis XVI Period patinated, Giltwood and Gris St. Anne marble center table. This wonderful and square table is raised by six handsome circular fluted tapered legs with Giltwood accenting the flutes. Each leg displays a toupie shaped bottom while at the top is a horizontal foliate band below upside down ball finials. The apron displays a richly carved Rosaces band accented with circular rosettes and an outer beaded trim. The bands surrounding the apron are flanked by rectangular shaped rosette blocks above each leg. The apron is also fitted with two drawers on each end of the table. The top of the apron is decorated with intricately detailed intertwined band below the most attractive Gris St. Anne marble top. A truly unique and most functional design.
