About the Item

A spectacular Italian 19th-century giltwood and onyx center table. The table is raised by an intricate and richly carved base with four handsomely poised legs. Each leg is elegantly decorated with a twisted rope design and adorned with fine floral carvings throughout all below the spiral fluted central support. Above is the original large onyx top with sensational veins and arbalest shaped sides decorated with a striking twisted rope designed giltwood border. All original gilt.
