About the Item

A wonderful and most unique Italian late 19th century Louis XIV st. patinated Wood and faux painted marble center table. This stunning patinated blue rectangular table is raised on a fancifully scrolled patinated Wood legs with hoof feet below impressive and richly carved acanthus leaves and volutes. The legs are accented with Gilt to follow the contours of the acanthus leaves and scrolls. The four legs are joined at the bottom by a sumptuously scrolled stretcher. The apron is richly decorated by pierced scrolled designs amidst additional acanthus leaves. Above is the mottled edged faux painted marble top with arbalest shaped sides.
