About the Item

A handsome and most unique Italian mid 18th century Roman Baroque st. Walnut center table. This wonderful table is raised by four barley twist legs joined by a turned Walnut stretcher and supported on bun feet below block reserves. Each leg leads to the flat apron above a mottled trim. Above is the stunning scalloped and veneered top displaying two centrally inlaid panels surrounded by Walnut veneers with alternating grains. A large scale Walnut inner border follows the edge of the scalloped top and displays circular inlaid Walnut motifs at each corner. Wonderful proportions with rich patina throughout.
