This elegant console table features a fine Italian pietra dura stone top, dating to the 19th century. The rectangular top is richly inlaid with polychrome hardstones arranged in geometric panels and floral motifs, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship characteristic of pietra dura work. The stone surface is removable, allowing for ease of transport and versatile display.
The top rests on a striking black ebonized base with fluted legs, united by an X-form stretcher and accented with gilt bronze mounts and rosettes. The contrast between the dark base and the vividly inlaid stone creates a refined and architectural appearance.
