About the Item

Margareta Åberg (1929–2005) was a Swedish architect and interior designer best remembered by her beautifully made functional designs for municipal projects. Throughout her career, she worked for several architectural firms before co-founding her own shop, Åbergs Arkitektkontor, with her husband, Rolf Åberg, in 1956. This table functions beautifully as a low center table, with a generous surface area for a sculptural vessel or vase. Made of solid pine, with simple elegant joinery. As far as we have been able to ascertain, it is one-of-a-kind.
