This is without a doubt the best looking Sheraton table I have ever seen, it is complete with all the original painted finish which is as you would expect, floral and musical in taste, the timber patina is glorious and in the right light glows, the leather top is hand dyed Cigar brown, with gold leaf embossing and a further three lines of detailed tooling
Condition wise, the table has been through a no expense spared restoration, the leather top is new, it has been fitted with a russet Italian cattle hide which has been hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished, as mentioned it has four bands of tooling, most leather tops only have one of two, with one of these being gold leaf tooled, this example is to the finest standard, the frame has been washed back to clean off the years of use, its then been sympathetically French polished, the idea with this type of polishing is not to hide the age and use but make the piece as clean tidy and presentable for the new owners without losing the history, charm and charisma of the piece
Size wise this presents as a large library or centre table so it can be used for four people sit at, or in a library or study to display trinkets, personally if I had an entrance hall large enough, I would have this in pride of place with a lovely Lalique sculpture in the middle

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
