About the Item

A remarkable and most elegant Swedish 19th century Empire st. Mahogany, polychrome and giltwood center table. The rectangular table is raised by an elegant H shaped bottom mahogany stretcher with a fine mottled giltwood border with striking and extremely decorative forest green polychrome deer shaped legs with handsome giltwood paw feet and impressive richly carved lion heads. Above each leg are fine block reserves flanking recessed panels each displaying elegant mottled giltwood borders also repeated at the back and sides all below the French polished Mahogany top showcasing the beautiful wood grain.
