About the Item
Imported from Lake Como, Italy this amazing coffee table featuring the characteristic blue colour of Fontana Arte attached to four steel screw bullet shaped feet.
The blue glass top has an early 20th century characteristic smooth curved edge all around(they don't do this cut anymore, modern glass tops are cut straight). The feet have a minimal design which is a later addition and at the near top the caps unscrew and the glass top is inserted. Beautiful details and perfect coffee table dimensions with the rectangular glass top curved corners making more friendly and easy to the eye.
Originally made in Italy in the middle of 20th century as a small shelving unit/drinks trolley with the mirror shelf below, eventually at some point in the 1980s the owners changed the use of it and turned them in two coffee tables for their living room.
This table as is still stands strong and it would look amazing in most interiors, modern or vintage. When the light passes through it looks amazing! Either in front of a three seater sofa, curved or modular one it would look great!
