About the Item
Henning Korch designed this coffee or side table for Danish manufacturer C. F. Christensen during the 1960s. The architectural frame showcases six slender rosewood legs arranged in a distinctive spider-like configuration, with inset aluminum detail at each junction point. The sculptural base creates an interplay of geometric forms and negative space, emphasizing the delicate nature of Scandinavian Mid-Century design.
The frame measures 29 inches by 29 inches by 15 inches, supporting a new plate glass top that provides transparency while protecting the wood structure. The angular legs form three pairs of inverted U-shaped supports, each featuring the warm brown tones and natural grain patterns characteristic of rosewood paired with contrasting aluminum accents.
Shows wear consistent with age and use, with some warping of the legs due to age. Remains in original condition.
