About the Item
Charming mid-19th-century rustic country French provincial coffee table, sourced from Provence, France. Hand-crafted from solid walnut, it features a low profile and a 55-inch long rectangular plank top with breadboard ends, joined using traditional mortise and tenon construction with exposed dowels. The table has been structurally restored, while the walnut retains its naturally aged, rustic patina, rich in tone and full of character. It rests on hand-carved, turned bobbin-style legs reminiscent of the Louis XIII style, also joined with exposed dowels. Solid and stable, this piece reflects excellent joinery and craftsmanship throughout.
