Biography – Maurice Hirch Maurice Hirch was a French decorator, designer, and manufacturer active during the mid-20th century, best known for his collaborations with leading Parisian decorative houses, most notably Maison Jansen. Hirch specialized in the production of high-end furniture and decorative objects inspired by classical, baroque, and neoclassical styles, reinterpreted through modern craftsmanship and refined materials such as lacquered wood, gilt finishes, and mirrors. His work reflects the continued French tradition of luxury furniture making, even during the challenging years of the 1930s and 1940s.
