About the Item

Elegant antique coffee table with a beautifully preserved red lacquer surface. The tabletop features a profiled edge, while the apron contains two drawers with profiled panels. The legs are finished with the distinctive “hoof” feet. The top is constructed with a frame and panel design, allowing the wood to naturally expand and contract with changes in humidity. The black line visible between the frame and the panel is from wax filling. Zhejiang Province, c. 1880.
