About the Item
The stick table evolved out of experiments with traditional Japanese joinery. A unique locking tenon joint allows three pieces of wood to be joined at 120-degree angles. The joint is repeated throughout the table resulting in a symmetrical branching form which supports a 1/2" piece of hardened glass.
Stick table was first exhibited during Tokyo Designers Block in 2003.
Stick table is available in white oak or black-stained white oak (both pictured above) with glass top.
Natural oil and wax finish.

Casey Lurie Studio
Casey Lurie is an independent designer based in Chicago. He apprenticed as a cabinet maker in Los Angeles before spending three years in Tokyo as designer-in-residence for Japanese furniture manufacturer Idée. In 2012 he established his design practice, Casey Lurie Studio, which integrates craft and industrial techniques to produce furniture and objects marked by thoughtful attention to detail, scale, and proportion. In addition to his studio production, Lurie works with like-minded manufacturers, architects, and interior designers to design and develop a wide range of projects.
Stick Table is available in white oak or black-stained white oak with glass top.
