Fabulous vintage Campaign style Gentleman’s Chest of Drawers or Armoire by Drexel Heritage the Passage Collection composed of a pecan wood frame with a side door with 2 adjustable wood shelves, 5 smaller side drawers, 1 larger lower drawer all with brass recessed bail handles hardware. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it retains its original finish, which is beautiful and on the body, we didn’t find any outstanding flaws; but there are a few flaws on the top surface ie: stains, nicks, discoloration. Phenomenal vintage chinoiserie Ming style chow leg coffee table with carved designs and a beveled glass insert produced by Casa Bique Ltd. in the Philippines and attributed to Robert Marcius. Robert Marcius was born in Greenville, Mississippi and he began designing and producing sculptures, jewelry, and objects d’art when he moved to New Hope, Pennsylvania in 1972. He formed a partnership with Gene Jonson, and they formed “Jonson and Marcius” and moved their business to Manhattan. During this time, he supplied Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, and Bloomingdale's with jewelry and Karl Springer with accessories, furniture, and sculptures. After seeking out Jonson and Marcius in 1975, Lorin Marsh launched their business of an original and unique line of furniture and accessories. Cartier and Tiffany also featured items manufactured by Jonson and Marcius. During the 1980’s Marcius sold his partnership and moved his operations to North Carolina where he designed the product and direction for Casa Bique Ltd. until the early 90’s. For 4 decades he has developed and designed for such clients as Frederick Ramond, Garcia Imports, Casa Stradivari, Thomasville, Lane, Kinder- Harris, The Platt Collections, and many others.
