About the Item

A Louis XV black and gilt Japanned occasional table, mid-18th century, with later restorations to the top. The dished tray (cabaret) adorned with raised, classic representations of fishing boats, fishermen, checker players and pagodas depicted in a rocky landscape, sits above a similarly decorated frieze with one side drawer, on cabriole legs and gilt sabot feet. Remeniscent of the decorating style of Coco Chanel. Dimensions: 21.25 in. L x 15 in. W x 27 in. H Drawer: 14 in L x 9 in. W x 1.5 in. D.
