About the Item
A vintage midcentury French brass and marble coffee/cocktail table in the style of legendary firm Maison Jansen. The table reflects the typical aesthetic codes of Hollywood Regency taste, given a few original twists to modernize the Neoclassical silhouette. An inset, black marble top resembles the dramatic Nero Marquina variety, showing patches of dark gray streaked in white veins and surrounded with patinated brass trim. Fluted legs (also patinated by oxidation) accented with square capitals and bases are joined by stretchers across the length and width in an H-formation marked again by square blocks and polished, turned spacers for textural variety. This vintage table will be an excellent decorative choice in a range of interiors from contemporary, to transitional, to eclectic collections. Please view the detailed images to see more.
