This 1940s French coffee table bridges fantasy and form. Featuring a reverse-painted églomisé glass top, the surface depicts a leaping unicorn amid a star-flecked sky and compass rose. The mythical scene, rendered in rich tones of gold and smoke, is delicately oxidized—age lending it atmosphere. The top rests on an ivory-painted scroll-leg wooden base, shaped in theatrical curves that evoke the late Art Deco period.
Condition: Good vintage condition, with chipping to the back-painted glass top, more prominent on the left side. The wooden base shows minor surface scuffs, scratches, and chipping to the paint.
