About the Item
This sculptural coffee table transforms a rare Brazilian quartz block into a functional work of art. Hand-selected for its exceptional clarity and natural crystal formations, the quartz was precision-cut in half to reveal its luminous interior. A custom cast-metal blade divides the two stone sections, creating a dramatic interplay between ancient geological matter and contemporary design.
The crystal tips refract light beautifully, giving the table an almost self-illuminating glow. Every inclusion and formation is the result of millions of years of natural mineral growth, preserved and elevated through meticulous lapidary work and artisanal assembly.
Both a functional object and a geological sculpture, this piece stands as a tribute to nature’s most extraordinary forms—reinterpreted through Alex’s vision for material experimentation and collectible design.
