About the Item

A Japanese Taisho period coffee table from the early 20th century, with red lacquer, textured effects, splaying legs and carved apron. Created in Japan during the Taisho period which ran from 1912 to 1926, this small coffee table features a rectangular top with textured effects and rounded corners, sitting above a carved apron. The table is raised on four short splaying legs whose out-curving lines respond and contrast with the apron's design beautifully. It showcases a red lacquer complimenting the simple yet elegant lines. We review all of our pieces and address issues we may find before they leave for your home; however this is an antique piece, and as such it will keep its character and some imperfections, which is the quintessence of antique and vintage furniture. With its small proportions, nice red lacquer and understated décor, this Japanese Taisho coffee table from the early 20th century will make for a lovely addition to any living room.
