Handsome vintage Modern brushed steel tube coffee table with a removeable rectangular black glass top insert. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. This incredible coffee table is EXACTLY what the designer ordered!!! This FABULOUS vintage coffee table is comprised of a brushed steel tube base bearing a unique trapezoid-ish shape composed of angled legs holding a sphere in the center and a rectangular top with an angled rim surrounding a beautiful removeable black glass insert. WOW!!!! It is ready to grace your home with its classic, timeless, an oh-so-head-turning appearance. Can’t you just imagine it in your living room across from your sofa or in the family room in front of a fabulous chaise lounge or pair of chairs? We certainly can! It has a magnificent Modern style with a flair of Art Deco Revival, Bauhaus, and Mid-Century Modern style and would be absolutely wonderful in a Minimalist, Maximalist, Industrial, or Hollywood Regency setting. Stunning vintage Mid Century Modern coffee table with a black painted wood base & a biomorphic or kidney shaped glass top in the style of Kroehler Pearsall or Tonk. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it had a few nicks & scuffs on the black base so we gave it a fresh coat of black paint. The glass has one very small chip in edge (may be able to be sanded out) & normal scratching on surface for age. What a beautiful biomorphic BEAST!!!! WOW!!! This is a marvelous vintage mid-century modern style coffee table comprised of a black painted wood base and a biomorphic or kidney shaped glass top in the style of Kroehler, Adrian Pearsall, or Tonk Manufacturing Company. This savvy little coffee table certainly took us on a wild goose chase that I’m not sure is completely over! You can find this table all over the internet attributed to Adrian Pearsall. It is NOT designed by him. Of that we are sure. But definitely in his style so it is easy to see where the misattribution comes from. It is also attributed to Valentine Seever, which is not a single person but two last names. And it may have been promoted by them as they were a division of Kroehler Manufacturing Co. It has also been attributed to Tonk Manufacturing Co., best known for their antique piano and organ swiveling stools; but we have not found actual proof of that. My mother (a “veteran” vintage...
