About the Item

Striking example of American Brutalist design by renowned metalworker Tom Greene, circa 1960s-70s. This commanding coffee table features Greene's signature heavy brass construction with bold, sculptural forms that exemplify the raw, uncompromising aesthetic of the Brutalist movement. The substantial brass base showcases Greene's masterful metalworking techniques with bold, geometric forms and rich patinated finish that has developed beautiful depth over time. The chunky, architectural silhouette creates dramatic shadows and visual weight, making this piece as much sculpture as functional furniture.
