A modernist aluminum glass coffee table, was designed by Knut Hesterberg for Ronald Schmitt, Germany, 1970s. While a glass plate topped the table, the polished aluminum base shows a futuristic shape that showcases from any angle. A statement table in very good original condition. Simple, sophisticated and very nice design high decorative piece.

Knut Hesterberg
Knut Hesterberg is a world-famous German sculptor who started his career at a graphic art and design studio in Zurich, Switzerland, where he came into contact with the architect and artist Max Bill, who had a great influence on his future work. He has exhibited his sculptures all-over Europe, and many of his large-scale sculptures are permanently installed in public spaces throughout Germany and a few in Italy.
